plane these wondrous rods and I know you put a good deal of time and
thought into each creation. You are a skilled fly fisher and I
have to believe all of your hours on the streams and high altitude
lakes of
Colorado
strongly influences your designs.

As it turned out the long 3wt rod was the perfect call. The largest fish were not over 20in and I was throwing some large bugs. The extra length made a huge difference.
